Eye Spy With My Little Eye - Negatively Staining Rods in an Ear Lesion!
It was 5 pm on Friday and I was just finishing up my Pocket Pathologist cytology cases for the week.
This one just came across my desk and is by FAR my favorite! It's not something I see every day, but it's something you in general practice should be aware of.
This is a 5yo NM hound mix. About 1 month ago had two ~1cm round firm skin masses appear on the outside of each mid pinna. Non-pruritic, not changing. All else normal.
