Toxic changes are seen in circulating neutrophils (i.e. in the blood smear) with inflammatory responses. Features of toxic change include:
โ๏ธ Dohle bodies
โ๏ธ Cytoplasmic basophilia
โ๏ธ Cytoplasmic vacuolation
