1 year old male, neutered dog with nickel-sized mass on the muzzle

11 year old male, neutered dog. Presented for removal of a dermal melanoma on the left hindlimb. The left popliteal lymph node was aspirated to evaluate for any evidence of metastasis.

You will start to feel more confident deciphering inflammatory patterns, unlocking crucial clues that aid in determining the underlying pathology causing the patient's lymphadenomegaly. 

We'll also dive into the realm of infectious organisms that can trigger lymph node inflammation. From bacterial infections to tricky fungal culprits, we'll explore the diverse cast of characters responsible for these inflammatory responses. And when it comes to select fungal infections, we'll break down the cytologic characteristics, ensuring that you feel at ease when identifying them under the microscope.

10 year old spayed, female cat. Presented for 2 weeks of hyporexia and weight loss. Generalized lymphadenopathy on exam.

Case 7: 

9 year old male, neutered Golden Retriever. 

The owners recently noticed him drooling more and eating more slowly. 

On presentation, an oral mass was observed, and the left mandibular lymph node was enlarged. The lymph node was aspirated for review.

On presentation, a FAST scan of the abdomen revealed a thickened intestinal segment and a nearby enlarged abdominal lymph node. The lymph node was aspirated for review.
